Wednesday's Opponents: AFC Liverpool

'March Madness: Chapter 3 in a series of 9' takes us to Prescot and an away fixture against AFC Liverpool.

Despite being halfway up the table, AFC Liverpool's recent league form has been a tad chronic to say the least: no wins in their last six and only two league victories at Valerie Park all season. Add to that our paltry four league away goals and you have the recipe for a 0-0, right?

Perhaps not. What's worrying is that we have been placed into AFCL's lap like a sacrificial lamb at the right time yet again. Last season two bad league runs were broken with victories over us (1-0 at Park Road and 2-1 at 'Valerie). Can you hear the sound of hand-rubbing, anyone?

If we can break this recent bad habit of conceding first then we will have every chance of getting a result here which would set us up nicely for Barnoldswick this Saturday. By Christ, we need something. We can't go through this whole month without winning a game, surely?

I'm missing this one as it's the wife's birthday and I don't fancy seeing if hell actually hath no fury. As a result there will be no match report or pics from me, but you should be able to keep up with the latest scores at this Twitter feed or even this one.

Come on Cheadle!

It was a fine game, Pole, and you have a good team there. Hopefully see you in the Division One Trophy final?

Nope, sorry. I was at the other end of the ground. Hopefully the video should answer your question.

Lindon got both, apparently. Cheers to Ben for the info (will be there Saturday to cheer you on)
