Saturday's Opponents: Chadderton

And so, after six weeks of void, the boys in white-and-black are finally involved in a league encounter as Chadderton are the visitors to Park Road.

We face a Chadderton team currently in 13th spot with 15 points, meaning a win for them would see them overtake us in the table. They have faired slightly better on-the-road and all; 9 of those 15 points have been gained on their travels, the most recent bounty being hauled at Eccleshall last week with a handy 3-2 win.

Despite this, Chadderton are still the least prolific in the league when it comes to hitting the back of the net; just 15 goals for them in league matches this season.

Past fortune favours us; as you can see Chadderton have failed to walk away from the SK8 School of Footballing Excellence with a win for the past three seasons. Let's hope that their slight goal-shyness continues and we get "Season 2009-2010: Phase 2" off to a cracking start.

We could really do with winning this. Come on Cheadle!

Last five at Park Road:
2008-2009: drew 1-1
2007-2008: won 2-1
2006-2007: won 1-0
2005-2006: lost 1-2
2004-2005: lost 2-3
