Tonight's Opponents: Bootle

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, grab your partners for the last waltz.

The blog claps its eyes on Bootle for the fourth time in three weeks as Cheadle wrap up their 2007-2008 season at Bucks Park.

There's no point going into too much "technical detail" as there's not really that much to play for: Cheadle Town have made 14th place their own over the past couple of weeks. Bootle, however, arguably still have something to aim for, if they feel remotely bothered: 5th place could be theirs if they win their remaining three matches.

Mixed feelings about this one tonight. Looking forward to the feast of football and the weather looks in a royal mood but once that final whistle goes at around 9.30pm tonight, the realisation that "that's it" for about 13 weeks is going to start slowly sinking in....

For one last time this season, come on Cheadle!
