Bootle v Cheadle Town - POSTPONED

Last time we got as far as Polardin's front door before finding out that the match was off; this time we got that little bit closer as we were actually at New Bucks Park when his match bit the dust.

The pitch was a little bit on the sodden side when we got there but, given Bootle's chronic fixture pile-up and the fact that it had stopped raining, they were keen to get the fixture played - the game looked to be on. As soon as the slight possibility of a game of football reared its head, the blackened sky above us had other ideas and tipped out its contents for 15 minutes solid. Game over.

As you can see from the pictures, "sodden" went to "paddling pool". 

God only knows when this match will be re-arranged; by our calculations next Thursday 17th is the only date possible in Bootle's horrendous fixture conundrum. Whenever it is, surely next time we'll get a step closer to actually watching these two teams kick a ball....
