Saturday's Opponents: Castleton Gabriels
It's the third of four home matches on the trot as Castleton Gabriels come to Park Road this Saturday.
Early evidence would suggest that Gabriels aren't going to have the kind of season they have been experiencing of late. Last season - and a couple before that - they finished rock bottom of Div 2 with not many wins to their name.
This season they have already picked up 4 victories - just one less than what they managed last time around - and have been involved in some fairly freaky results on the way; their 2007-2008 term has been inconsistent, to say the least. One point of note is that three of those four victories have come away from home.
They come to Park Road on the back of a stunning 6-0 away victory at Daisy Hill, have also managed to win 2-1 away at Norton United - who are fairing well this season - and have picked up three points at Holker Old Boys with a 4-2 win. This is somewhat tempered by the result they suffered at Padiham: a 0-9 stuffing.
Despite this one being "difficult to call", this is a great opportunity to build on last Saturday's win and build up our league points tally before the potentially more difficult - based on league positions - home match versus Chadderton next Wednesday.
Come on Cheadle!
