Cheadle Town 1-2 Bootle (and Weekend Round-Up)

Thanks to Steve Brokenbrow for letting me know the score by good ol' text message. According to his words, Cheadle were "unlucky". McDonald had put Bootle a goal up after 44 minutes, only to see Scott Flanagan reply straight away for Cheadle; Fowler then got Bootle's winner after 77 minutes.

Elsewhere, congratulations to Norton United who collected their first league win of the season with a 2-1 home win over Chadderton, who seem expert at allowing teams to break their winless streaks! Ashton Athletic's point away to Holker (2-2) means that they nudge Cheadle down to 15th place in the table. Winsford United reclaimed top spot with a 5-1 away win at Oldham Town.

Daisy Hill - one of the other teams below Cheadle - were thrippled 1-4 at home to Blackpool Mechanics.
