Bootle 2-2 Cheadle Town
I post this " match report" from my sick bed, struck down by the dreaded flu. With Karl in the Big Apple and me in bed we both missed our team gain a point in Liverpool today.
Riley 6 minutes. McDonald a half time equaliser, then Heath putting us back in front on the 70th minute before Hay equalised in the last five minutes with a penalty. Without seeing it I can't comment accurately, but the idea we were in the lead twice and ultimately were denied all three points by a spot kick kinda feels like our season all over.
We are still in there fighting and trying to play football. I will be fighting fit with my support again next week.

Hope the slight sniffle has improved :-) Pity I missed you on Saturday as I went to see your game due to the Runcorn match being called off. Will see you both at Park Road a week on Saturday instead.
The weird thing was that I was sure I saw your partner-in-blog there as The Pole's doppelganger was standing no more than 20 feet from me. I remembered reading that he was elsewhere so didn't make a fool of myself by trying to strike up a conversation with someone who wasn't who I thought it was.
Anyway, I penned a few words on our website ( http://www.runcornfc.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=608 ) if you wish to read an impartial review of proceedings. Absolute belter of a goal by Heath I have to say.
Btw, any idea of the line-ups? I think they were read out over the tannoy but the bloke reading them out sounding like he was clearing his throat while he was doing it.
Good luck at Ashton Town on Saturday. Scene of a very happy day for us on our league debut in August.
